New Poll on TS2.com!
Before we get into the Sims 3 site changes, I wanted to announce the new poll on ts2.com about your views on the nanny's in The Sims 2.

The Sims 3 Site Changes
New Look
Firstly, you will notice that theSims3.com has a new layout to it! And the homepage gives you a huge view of the Sims 3 trailer! You'll also see what there is to look forward to, and a news feed.

New Section: Community
One of the new sections that has been added is the community section. Here you'll be able to find blogs, chats, and Sims 3 events!

New Section: Cool Stuff
This new section shows off some Sims 3 related wall papers and buddy icons for your own personal use!

New Section: What is the Sims?
This new section reaches out to those who are new to the game. It's a cool section with great information on the Sims.

New Section: The Sims 3 VIP
This is by far the best new section added! Only VIP members with a certain code can get past this section and see all the cool stuff within! Rod Humble shared his insight on CAS in the Sims 3 in one post you can find in the VIP section. And there's a new image to check out!

It's amazing how, in the Sims 3, sims that can't paint, will at least end up painting something that looks like what they are going for. Even if it is a poorly drawn stick figure with one bulging eye. And just check out those graphics! I strongly encourage all to sign up as a VIP member at TS3.com!

Alright, another great video. It has a bunch about upcoming games, Sims, Spore, etc.

Sims 3
Opening up in a Pleasantville black and white cinematic style, EA's Sims 3 promises to open its doors and create a more interactive community within players' simulated lifestyles. EA promised a "seamless world" that allows your Sims to evolve based on the decisions they (or technically, you) make. What if Sim A did not fall in love met Sim B? How would that outcome affect the neighborhood's interactivity? We know all you Sims fans are now talking in Sim-gibberish due to your excitement, as EA plans to release their latest creation sometime in 2009.

SimAnimals
SimAnimals was announced by EA today, and the delightful animal simulation program will undoubtedly thrill both future veterinarians and furries the world over.

The game was developed by EA's Sims studio and will be available for the Wii and Nintendo DS next year.

"But which animals are in the game??" I hear you asking. We're talking bears, owls, foxes and squirrels, (oh my!). The player plays a god-like hand who uproots trees and keeps furry little critters from drowning and whatnot. Also: There's mating Described in the press conference as a man and woman animal giving each other a "special hug," we were sadly unable to see the mating animal footage.

Discovery channel, watch out!

[News from 06.25.08] Apartment Life, Spore, and Summer Contest's, Oh my!

We've been rather late in updating we are sorry to say, so here's some of the stuff we've missed.
Just like with Freetime, it looks as if we're going to be seeing some Apartment Life comics. To the left is the first one shown.
Some of the things highlighted in this comic include the new neighborhood, Belladonna Cove, and the apartment that "Peter" and "Mary" rent there. It also shows some of the new items and outfits that will be coming with this Expansion Pack and shows you that your sims owe rent to the landlord, and they need to pay it.
It also shows us that, what used to be a Fortune Sims fall, is now available to our poor sims in need of cash. Sims can now beg off the street for money!
So as you see, this one comic strip has already shown us a whole lot about the game! Keep your eye out for any continuing comics and see for yourself some of the cool new features available in The Sims 2: Apartment Life Expansion Pack.

[News from 06.03.08] TS2.com gets new look.

TheSims2.com has a new look! It's a lot cleaner, and quite pleasing to the eye. Stop in our forums and tell us what you think of the new look here.
And check out this record low vote count (to the left).
What will happen next with the site?
Perhaps they will fix up the entire site and change the layout on the BBS too.
A lot of people are hoping for big changes on the BBS, because lately it has been "getting out of hand" or "it's becoming a less fun place to be".
Perhaps this was the big change they were all looking for.
Along with the new layout came a new poll, some new news located at the bottom near the community box, and of course, the Apartment Life flash.
Perhaps we are on our way to a cleaner site.

[News from 05.27.08] New Sims 3 Screen

Sorry for this late update but Bologna has been out of town and unable to access the internet. She is back now, and with a new screen for the Sims 3. This was sent out in the Sims 3 VIP letter. The picture (shown at the right) shows a family in the Sims 3 enjoying a picnic. There is a scenic background where you can see mountains, an ocean or lake, as well as various trees, a beach, and so much new things! There is also a couple walking by. This definitely should assure all that children will be in the game. Looks pretty cool!

The Sims 2 Apartment Life

The Sims 2 Apartment Life was confirmed when Kitchen and Bath Stuff was sent out and the pamphlet inside contained Apartment Life. Not much information has been released however MaxiodShannon managed to snag us a quick pic. (seen at the left).
Yes, those are ceilings and this time, yes, they are real. MaxiodShannon said so herself.
The Sims 2 Apartment Life can be expected in early September later this year. It is almost certainly the last Sims 2 EP before the Sims 3 is released.

The Sims 3
Speaking of the Sims 3, we haven't heard much information about it. The official Sims 3 site was temporarily down and the BBS was in a frenzy talking about the new updates that might be occurring however the site is back online and the latest update is still from March.
